Versions of this panel's software older than version 3.1.3 do not have WiFi capability built into the software. To connect your 2GIG GC3 panel to your home WiFi
- Tap SYSTEM SETTINGS
- Enter your master code for the panel.
- Find and tap NETWORK SETTINGS
- Tap WIRELESS
- A list of available networks will be displayed.
If You use a WiFi password
- Tap Network to connect to.
- Enter the network password and tap Next.
- You will see the IP Address and other network information. While in AUTO, the fields below will be blank. Manual allows you to override the network information your router's DHCP server normally handles. If you do not know what the acronym VLSM means, it's probably best to let your router handle this for you and leave the panel on AUTO.
- Tap the back arrow on the left side of the screen repeatedly until you reach the home screen.
WPS
Tapping WPS allows you to connect securely to routers that support WPS.
- Tap WPS on the Panel.
- Tap Connect
- Locate and press WPS on your router.
- You will see the IP Address and other network information. While in AUTO, the fields below will be blank. Manual allows you to override the network information your router's DHCP server normally handles. If you do not know what the acronym VLSM means, it's probably best to let your router handle this for you and leave the panel on AUTO.
- Tap the back arrow on the left side of the screen repeatedly until you reach the home screen.
Join Other Network
Tapping Join Other Network allows you to join a network not shown in the list. If your router does not broadcast its SSID, this method will connect you.
- Tap Tap Join Other Network.
- Enter network SSID.
- Select the authentication type used by the network.
- Enter the network password and tap Next.
- You will see the IP Address and other network information. While in AUTO, the fields below will be blank. Manual allows you to override the network information your router's DHCP server normally handles. If you do not know what the acronym VLSM means, it's probably best to let your router handle this for you and leave the panel on AUTO.
