    Door/Window Sensor Showing Incorrect Status


    There are two pieces to your door/window sensor: the sensor (on the frame) and the magnet (attached to the door/window). If your door/window is closed but the sensor is saying it’s open, this usually means your sensor is out of alignment or the magnet has fallen off. To fix this, check the following:

    1. Go to your door/window sensor and locate the magnet. If it has fallen off, you can reattach it with double-sided tape. If your magnet fell off the door but you can’t find it, please call our Account Specialists for further assistance.   CA (587) 844-5377   US (385) 832-9055

    2. Make sure the magnet lines up with the guidelines on the side of the sensor and there is no more than ¼ inch distance between the two pieces.

    3. If the magnet is still in place, nothing appears to be out of alignment, and the sensor is still reading incorrectly, please call our Account Specialists for further assistance.     CA (587) 844-5377    US (385) 832-9055
