In some scenarios, your smoke detector can accidentally be set off. Some common causes of false alarms are:
- Smoke from cooking.
- Steam from your bathroom.
- Dust or dirt particles from construction or build up over time.
- Excess heat over 135℉ (57.2℃).
You can clean your smoke detector with compressed air. Regular cleaning of your smoke detector will help prevent false alarms.
If none of the above conditions apply to your sensor and it's still triggering false alarms, please call our Account Specialists for further assistance.
