What is Needed
3 – AAA Batteries
- Ensure the panel is disarmed.
- Remove the smoke detector from its base plate by twisting counterclockwise.
- Remove the old batteries.
- Wait 15–20 seconds.
- Install 3 replacement AAA batteries.
- Reinstall the smoke detector by lining up the grooves and twisting clockwise until it clicks into place.
- Test the sensor.
- Check the panel to ensure the error has cleared.
